Grayshott Spiritual Café
Claire Sparks (left) of Grayshott and Anna Lubelska of Headley Down sampling the spicy apple drinks at the first ever Spiritual Café. Claire and Anna were co-organisers of the successful Health and Harmony evening held at Grayshott Village Hall on 28 November. Over fifty people came and sampled therapies such as Shiatsu massage, Reiki, reflexology, crystal healing and flower essences. Many also joined in with yoga, circle dancing and tai chi. The Spiritual Café had table names such as ‘love’ and ‘harmony’ and quotes from spiritual leaders/gurus to give people food for thought and discussion as well as having an actual café with healthy and creative food run by a young catering student, Robbie. More information can be found at www.yogaingrayshott.co.uk.

Ideas
Sharing Spirituality & Spiritual Cafés - We encourage you to meet with friends at home or in cafes or other suitable places to talk about your spiritual path, learn about spirituality and grow together. We want to see spiritual cafes springing up all over the country in the way that book clubs and knitting circles have! Do let us know how you get on. In time, we will be producing packs of support materials to help you. We would welcome your ideas and suggestions and will include the best of these in the Spiritual Café packs.
Resources:
- "Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony." Mahatma Gandhi - For more inspirational quotes in the form of resource cards please download our InspirationCards.pdf...
Open Doors Day - One of our longer term aims is to establish an Open Doors Day when religious and spiritual places open their doors and encourage people to come in and have a look around. This aim is driven by our belief that many of these places are underused and yet potentially could be invaluable sources of support for people in their local area.
