Carers of elderley people

I am so moved by the difficulties faced by the thousands of people committed to caring for their elderley loved once. There are so many challenges especially when those people are suffering with things like cancer and Alzheimer's. We need to find ways to tap into the spirituality of both carers and 'cared for' and help to make these experiences less negative. The hospice movement has much to teach us. What do people think - is there any good practice out there that you can share with us on this forum which would help to stimulate new research and action? Peace to you all on this wonderfully sunny day. The Bish.xxxx

The Leveson Centre has explored the area of older people and spirituality quite a lot: http://www.leveson.org.uk/levesoncentre/index.htm

And their publication Lighting the Way is specifically to do with worship and care of those with dementia:
