A Prayer for Peaceful Schools throughout the World
Written for Spiritual England’s Peaceful Schools Campaign by Annie Blampied. (A teacher for 25 years and now, since 2004, an Interfaith Minister.) 25th October, 2011
May children and teachers throughout the world
Look forward to going to school each day.
May they feel seen, appreciated and valued
For who they are,
Big or small,
In the dance of teaching and learning.
May they have peace of heart,
Strength of spirit,
And joy in creating and doing.
May they have time to wonder
And experience their connection with nature
And their own innocence.
May all schools be places of safety and happiness,
Beauty and friendship.
Acceptance, order and peace.
And so it is.
