Mental Health Recourses for Men
are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. We want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation.
The starting point for a man wishing to try out a men’s group is our Connection Groups. They are drop-in men’s groups running every week online. They are free and welcome all newcomers.
The Self-Development Club
We run weekly self-development sessions run by our professional facilitators. We're challenging you to be a better man. Treat your mental fitness like your physical fitness; with consistent practice, challenge, and encouragement.
125 lives are lost every week to suicide. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this. We do it by provoking conversation, running life-saving services, and bringing people together so they reject living miserably, get help when they need it and don’t die by suicide. But we can't do it alone. Stand with us.
"Staying quiet about your struggles does not work. Our culture is definitely getting better at talking openly about mental ill health, but we still have a way to go. Many men still feel ashamed at confessing their own struggles. It’s this shame of the fear of judgement by others, this stigma which we have to challenge.” - Paul Bannister, Founder of ManHealth
The adopted term of ‘MAN UP’ as we know it, needs to be challenged. Don’t just brush yourself down & get on with it. That's our focus, that’s our mission.
We exist to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives – this is what drives every single one of our 1,250 men’s health projects. In everything we do, we strive to be transparent and accountable. We report thoroughly on each project so that our Mo Bros and Mo Sisters can see how their support is changing the lives of men around the world.
