Religions From Around The World
Even in our increasingly secular age, religion plays a central role in the lives of millions of people around the world; it's believed over 70% of the world's population identify themselves with one religion or another. Religion can be there for people in the most significant times in their lives, whether that be the birth of a child or the death of a friend.
For many, religion provides consolation, inspiration and community. It can offer answers to some of the big questions in life:
Why are we here?
What happens when we die?
Why do people suffer?
How should we live our lives?
What is the meaning of life?
As our lives differ across the world and across time, with varying needs, desires, and influences, naturally our faiths differ also. As such, there are over 4,000 recognised religions throughout the world at the time of writing, with some fading from existence whilst others take their first steps.
