We haven't really used this app other than for the timer, which we use multiple times every day. There are other timers we could use sure, but do they start and end with a gong?

A great mindfulness app specifically with younger generations in mind. Creating by psychologists and educators alike.

Perhaps the most popular mindfulness app. Some free content but sooner than later you'll need to start paying to continue to use it.

It does what it says on the tin. A good beginner mindfulness app.

Contains literally tens of thousands of guided meditations, all for free. It's hard to find a better free option for a meditation app.
Other Great Apps

When introduced to The Pattern I was told it would 'see into my soul', and it really didn't disappoint. This astrology app comes highly recommended.

Ever wish you could tell what that bright star you can see is? Or whether that's a planet, plane, or one of those squiggly things in your vision? Star Walk 2 can help.

Great for reading books on your phone. This app helped me to avoid playing games or visiting social media. Useful for when you don't want to take a book or kindle with you.

If you want to learn more about the plant world around you, this is the app for the job. There's a great rock identifier too in this list further on.

Olio aims to reduce waste by encouraging people to share what they no longer need. This could be anything from TVs to vegetables, and you'd be amazed what comes up on here for free.

This helpful little app has drastically reduced the amount of Confusionite* in our crystal collections. *an unidentified gemstone

Recommended to us as a free alternative to Amazon's Audible. You can get free audiobooks and all you need is a library card.

I use this for the timer function and it works perfectly well. The information on fasting isn't particularly factual, and there are likely better fasting apps out there, but this is great to keep track of fasts.

Great for building healthy habits.

With sleep being of such vital importance, an app which can help is a useful tool indeed.
