When I make progress in my spiritual journey, I often face challenges such as productivity demands, academic responsibilities, home stress, and, most significantly, the necessity of pursuing my own entrepreneurship. I've taken many courses to prepare for this, with the major goal of doing my best in the world, achieving financial freedom, and making a positive impact. These factors, however, often hinder my spiritual growth, goals, and progress.
I start feeling frustrated and unsure about what to do with my life. My biggest question and problem are: how can I balance all these aspects effectively? And how I will achive those spiritual goals, if I keep being in this maya?
Any advice...?
Hello Fernanda,
As someone who has dealt with life and all of it's experiences, some beautiful, many full of grief and some experiencing the horror of terrorism and man's inhumanity to man, I wish to offer a few things that helped me greatly, not only to acknowledge what had occurred, but to move forward with intent.
I understand totally what you are trying to achieve in an ordered way and I hope that you succeed in your ventures. However, I get the distinct impression that you are 'too wound up inside' which is human nature.
My advice would be at times to simply let go and be still, even for a few minutes and try to find your inner child and do silly things. Also, I would proffer that while you are 'snowed under' with work, laugh, laugh again and again. Laughter is good for boosting endorphins and can help reduce stress. If your work doesn't get done the world will keep on turning , laugh, so take some time out and enjoy the being that you are. Believe me when I say that your health is just about the most important thing we have and you owe it to yourself to be in the best condition you can possibly be to achieve your multiple aims.
Good luck.
Hi Fernanda, What a great question, one I'm so often asking myself 😆
When I'm separating things into their distinct categories, such as spiritual growth and entrepreneurship, I also find myself unable to fit everything in and can get frustrated with the lack of time in the day.
My solution to this, found through more luck than judgement, is simply to stop compartmentalising things like this. For example, I know my business endeavours and home life are all part of my spiritual growth, so I can rest assured they're not hindering my growth, but facilitating it. Another example is my daily meditation. I still meditate, but I'm no longer hung up on how much I do, focusing instead on self-observation during my daily life. This seems to be more spiritually rewarding for me and it allows me to combine a spiritual practice with other demands.
Perhaps there are ways you can find balance in your life through combining or altering your routines and practices to better suit your circumstances? I hope this helped in some way!
